Diagnostic Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy
In diagnostic laparoscopy, we will use keyhole surgery to inspect the organs in your abdomen. Hysteroscopy is a procedure to investigate the inside cavity of the uterus to identify any causes of infertility and other uterine pathologies such as fibroids, polyps, and adhesion of the uterus.
In the procedure, we insert a small-diameter device, a hysteroscope, into your uterus. The hysteroscope is inserted through the vagina and into the uterus. This device has a small, lighted camera on the tip allowing us to see the inside of your uterus, enabling us to look for pathologies in the uterine cavity.
We might advise laparoscopy to find the cause of pain in the pelvic and abdominal regions, Examine a tissue mass, confirm endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease, look for ectopic pregnancy and look for the blockage of the fallopian tubes or for other causes of infertility.
We advise laparoscopy in women, who have abnormal uterine bleeding, recurrent miscarriages, and abnormal endometrial lining on an ultrasound scan with a suspected pathological condition.
At Dr. Saba’s Fertility and Women Care Centre, we do both diagnosis and surgical treatment with laparoscopy/hysteroscopic procedures.
